Being Taught From My Gambling Failures

Wednesday, 30. December 2009

First to clarify why I write this essay. I have been gambling on the web or at physical casinos for many years. I have learned, the dependency can take a hold of you and you will not even realize it up until you are broke. Particularly if you are on a winning run. I’ve gone through countless thousands of dollars in only a tiny period of time and to this day on occasion, I will go a bit too far. It appears you are just having a blast until you start to pay attention to your defeats and the anguish sets in, and then you continue to tell yourself "I can win it back" repeatedly. It doesn’t works. Then you become queasy in your belly and the harder you attempt the quicker you lose.

When you see that you’re ahead, STAY on the UP! When you start to lose, do not say to yourself, "well just maybe just one more" and again and again, believe me, this concept RARELY ever functions. Say you’re betting on slot games, have an amount put aside prior to starting your play. DO NOT exceed that limit, no matter how appealing. If you actually win, put that in a different cup. Do not risk your winnings no matter what. As soon as you’ve played through your original set limit, bail out. Head out, whether it is on the internet or at a physical betting house, don’t stay around. Always keep in mind, there is going to be a different day, another time.

Remember, wagering is assumed to be FUN not exhausting, sickening work! If you aren’t enjoying yourself, you do not belong there. If youcan’t manage the loss, don’t even start.
