Additionally, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs is available 24 hours, with 38,500 square feet, 1,589 one armed bandits, 36 table games, and four restaurants. There are many other dominant Iowa gambling halls, including Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 sq.ft., 1,212 slots, and 39 table games.
A tinier Iowa casino is the Diamond Jo, a river boat gambling hall in Dubuque, with 17,813 sq.ft., 776 slots, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend Riverboat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 sq.ft., 535 slot machines, and 14 table games. An additional Iowa river based gambling hall, The Isle of Capri, is open 24 hours, with 24,939 square feet, 1,100 slot machines, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 sq.ft. water based casino in Clinton, has 506 slots, 14 table games, live productions, and Thursday chemin de fer events.
Iowa casinos provide a great amount of tax revenue to the government of Iowa, which has allowed the funding of a lot of commonwealth wide activities. Vacationers have increased at an accelerated rate along with the request for services and a growth in employment. Iowa gambling halls have been helpful to the growth of the economy, and the excitement for gaming in Iowa is across the board.
