There is a captivating background to the Cambodia gambling halls that reside just across the border from next door Thailand, in which gambling den betting is prohibited. Eight gambling dens are established in a generally tiny area in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slot machines and sixty six of the common tables, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. One more of the eight casinos in Poipet, also in a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 one armed bandits and ninety seven table games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an all-inclusive resort and hotel complex that highlights a number of luxuries accompanying the casino, which contains 10,000 sq.ft. of 130 one armed bandits and eighty eight tables.
